What is RF Micro Needling?
Micro needling is a technique that uses tiny needles to perforate the surface of the skin. This creates a controlled injury that “tricks” your skin into initiating the healing cascade. The tiny droplets of blood released by the needling contain platelets and growth factors that, send a signal out to your body to recruit stem cells to the area. Stem cells are the building blocks for new collagen and new skin formation.
SylfirmX uses 25 very fine needles that are mechanically inserted through the skin surface with each shot. At the same time, a gentle pulse of RF energy is delivered under the skin through the needles. The energy amplifies the healing signal and recruits even more stem cells. RF energy is also the gold standard for skin tightening.

RF micro needling is very popular now for the reasons stated above. Some of the other devices are: Morpheus8®, Vivace®, Secret®, Profound®, Portenza® and there are many others.
The reason SylfirmX® stands out is because this device was designed by the inventor of RF micro needling, Dr. JongJu Na. The SylfirmX is not a “me too” device. The needles are designed to deliver the RF energy with such precision that no insulation is needed to protect the skin from burns. While the other devices try to improve performance by delivering more and more energy, the SylfirmX is designed to deliver the precise amount of energy to initiate the healing cascade without actually damaging the skin. Too much energy causes scar tissue formation which ultimately causes prolonged down time, intense pain, premature aging and poor results. The SylfirmX actually delivers superior results without the complications.
How can we maximize results with the SylfirmX?
SylfirmX is a regenerative treatment. If we combine SylfirmX with other regenerative modalities, we can maximize the results like we have never seen before, not even with surgery. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Exosomes are the perfect adjunct to the SylfirmX treatment. The micro Channels created by the needles can act as a delivery route for biological regenerative agents to amplify the healing and stem cell recruitment to the treated area.
How do I choose between PRP, PRF and Exosomes?
PRP is a great treatment because it is autologous, which means it comes from your own body. The concentrated platelets extracted from your own blood can be applied topically to help the skin heal much faster and will amplify the collagen production. PRF is a thicker preparation of PRP and can be injected under the skin to create a little volume as well as rejuvenate the skin from the inside. Exosomes are tiny vesicles excreted by stem cells to signal nearby cells to activate the healing cascade. Exosomes send a stronger signal when compared to PRP, however, we are currently not allowed to inject exosomes in the United States. If you are looking for a little volume with the skin rejuvenation, we use your PRP topically and inject PFR to create volume and plumpness. If you are not interested in the volume, the exosomes are a great value.
Can I get SylfirmX without PRP or Exosomes?
Many people do get just the SylfirmX treatments with great results. However, we highly recommend adding PRP/PRF or exosomes to get the best results.
How many treatments do I need?
We recommend getting at least three treatments to see a results. The treatments are 1 month apart. After your first three treatments, you can continue to get treatments for even better results. Some people get a treatment even few months to maintain the results and to keep ahead of aging. Most people get a treatment every 6 months to maintain the results after the initial series of 3.
